I have started drawing the gnarled old pine trees around us. I decided to try one in vine charcoal. It is fast, fun and I like it!
My wife was in for a Dr’s appointment and I couldn’t go in. So I used my time to sketch this really cool building
A beautiful old Covered Bridge not too far from us. Done in a bit of a looser style for me.
I love light on the water, especially back lighting a wave with that beautiful green. 11×14 pastel on sanded paper.
Usually I paint from reality, however this is out of my imagination. I hope you enjoy it. 9×12 pastel on sanded paper
Shelter at Cape Perpetua on the Central Oregon Coast. Easy to get to now, but in 1934 when it was built by the CCC, not so much. This may be one for a pastel, but have fun drawing for now.
Old Town Florence, OR. One of my favorite places, we go there often. Fun shops, kinda funky, on the banks of the Siuslaw River. What’s even better, it’s only ten minutes from our house. A quick sketch before I paint it.
5×7 Pencil on paper.
9×12 Pastel on Velour Paper.
